Spitzer Space Telescope

Stephan's Quintet is a group of galaxies 300 million light-years away from earth. According to astonomers using the Spitzer space telescope in California the distant group is generating a sonic boom of cosmic proportions as one of the galaxies falls towards the others at 540.6 miles per second.
