Farewell Torino

In the 1956 Cortina Winter Olympic Games Eugenio Monti earned silver medals in both the two-man and the four-man bobsleigh events.

The 10th Mountain Division 1945


The 10th Mountain Division was America's first army division that was trained in winter combat and who fought on skis in the Italian Appenines during WWII. These were one of many significant engagements during the five months the 10th Mountain Division fought in Northern Italy.

Il Pomodoro Volante - Shaun White


Shaun White, gold medallist in the snowboard half-pipe is known in Italy as Il Pomodoro Volante (The Flying Tomato) because of his red hair.

One Huge Snowman (26 feet tall)


This more-than-8 meter tall snowman took the Bronkiewiczow family and their neighbors one month to build in their backyard in Mstow near the city of Czestochowa, Poland.

Empire State Building Run Up (1576 steps)


Mark Hogan arrives at the 86th floor observation deck of New York's Empire State Building to finish of the 29th annual Empire State Run-Up. Over 200 competitors raced up 1576 steps to the top of Manhattan's tallest building.
